About

This site exists largely as a “parrot blog” (regurgitating interesting things I see on the Web), a design and development playground, and an expirement in Search Engine Optimization.

Along the way it has become a repository for interesting articles, resources, and other helpful items I find that I don’t want to lose.  You may also find my daily lunch, a funny video or two and a partial portfolio of my work here.

Perhaps by some accident, something on here will be useful to you.

About Joe

self photoI have been working in Web development since 2000. In Spring 2003, I discovered CSS, PHP and Web standards and never looked back. I look back in agony to the days of code forking and table based layouts and am happy that those days are finally coming to an end.

I’m all about good design, squeaky clean code, compliance with open standards, and browser/platform independence of Web applications.

I am currently a Lead Developer for Affinion Group based out of Norwalk, Connecticut, mainly dealing in membership based solutions and marketing.

I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Information Technology.

Personal

I was married in Jamaica to my wife Jessi on April 18th, 2002 and we’re still happily married today.  We have two kids.  AJ was born August 3rd, 2005 and Avery was born November 21st, 2007.  We also have one dog, Layla.

I have a lot of hobby’s and interests that keep me busy.  Outside of keeping the wife and kids happy, I play a lot of softball, golf, ski, do a little fishing and play with my slot cars and rc air planes.  I also try to workout and play basketball a couple times a week.

That’s everything…
